Put your adult learners on the fastest track to success

GED® Student books

Attaining a high-school equivalency requires that learners are able to problem solve; read and interpret excerpts, passages, and visuals; and answer related questions. With Steck-Vaughn Test Preparation for the GED® Test, students will not only get the right mix of instruction and practice to master the test, but they will also garner valuable thinking and learning skills that will serve them in college, careers, and the workplace.

Features of the Student Edition:

• Two-page micro-lessons provide focused and efficient instruction. Bite-size chunks are easier to swallow and digest!
• Lessons follow a standard Learn–Practice–Apply instructional sequence where content builds across lessons to support the introduction of more complex topics.
• Each unit is made up of a series of lessons that culminates with a comprehensive review that serves as a posttest.
• Callouts, learning strategies, test-taking tips, and guided practice items aid learners in the development of close reading and strategic thinking skills.

And if they need more practice, we got you covered!

GED® Work books

The companion workbooks provide additional practice for each of the four subject areas covered on the GED® test.

Learners that need additional review and practice will take comfort in the similar Review–Refine–Master lesson structure.
To convey deeper understanding, the workbook lessons cover the same skills as the corresponding Student book lessons but explain concepts differently and provide twice as much practice. Like the Student books, each workbook lesson provides multiple guided-practice items, callouts, and testing tips to aid in the development of core reading and thinking skills.

Instructor Edition

The Instructor Edition includes lesson plans for every student book and workbook lesson in the series.
